Taking a gap year in Australia can give people "a truly authentic experience" which will benefit them in the future.
Brooke Schoenman, travel writer for WhyGo Australia, gave this recommendation, believing that people should consider a working trip to this country.
"For those visitors under the age of 31, taking a year to live, work and travel in Australia will be the most down-to-earth cultural experiences they can achieve," Ms Schoenman pointed out.
When it comes to deciding where to base a gap year adventure in Australia around, the expert was keen to recommend a visit to Far North Queensland.
This is because the resort allows travellers to explore an array of rainforests and land which all have links to the aborigines.
A gap year trip to Australia was also advised by Tom Hall, travel editor at Lonely Planet, who wrote in the Guardian that the nation presents a "winning combination of cities, surf, scenery and fantastic facilities for budget travellers".
