Project Trust is an educational charity that has been providing volunteers with the original Gap Year experience for 40 years. Our placements are specifically for 17-19 year old school leavers currently in full time education. We operate in a number of countries across Africa, Asia and South & Central America providing a broad variety of projects. The type of work available includes social care, English teaching, outdoor activities and assisting in community development schemes. All volunteers are asked to attend a selection course so that we can be sure you go to a project that matches your skills. Pre-departure training is given as is a debriefing course on return. Volunteers are given assistance from Project Trust to raise a proportion of their costs through fund-raising activities. Living expenses, flights, food, overseas support and accommodation are provided. To help our volunteers truly integrate into their host community, learn a new language, make friends and make a real difference we offer long term placements of 8 and 12 months.

Village-to-Village (V2V) is a small charity which works with community-led initiatives in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Over the past ten years our team has developed very close ties to the village of Uchira and the local people, dedicated to helping alleviate poverty in the area by supporting lasting sustainable development initiatives. Our projects range from teaching English and teacher-training, to sustainable agriculture and eco-tourism, as well as working with people living with HIV/AIDS and construction.
